Common questions

I can’t sign in, or I was asked to verify again

Alpha locks itself after a period of inactivity and asks you to re-verify by email. That is the app lock, not a sign-out, and your wallets are untouched. If the code does not arrive, check spam and confirm the address matches the one you signed up with.

Where are my keys, and can I leave with them?

Alpha is non-custodial. Your keys are generated inside secure hardware enclaves and we cannot move your funds. You can export them at any time from Menu, then Security and privacy, then Export Wallet, and use them in any compatible wallet.

My balance or profit and loss looks wrong

Balances come from the chain directly and settle within seconds of a trade. Cost basis and profit and loss are rebuilt from your full transaction history, so a very recent trade can take a moment to appear in those numbers. If something still looks wrong after a few minutes, email us with the token and the wallet address.

A feature is greyed out or shows a lock

Some features are unavailable in some regions, and Alpha shows a lock rather than hiding them so you know they exist. This is based on where you are connecting from.

How do I get my cashback?

Cashback accrues on every trade and is credited to your rewards balance. Open Menu, then Rewards, to see what has accrued and to claim it. Claims settle on chain, so they need a small amount of gas.

My deposit has not arrived

Card and Apple Pay deposits are processed by our onramp partner and usually land within minutes, though a first purchase can take longer while it is reviewed. Transfers from another wallet land as soon as the network confirms them. Send us the deposit reference and we will trace it.
